Process vs. Outcome Goals

Looking for quick results but getting frustrated? It is easy to get discouraged when you don't see the results you want right away, especially if you associate success with a number on the scale. Often times, when just starting out, your body is burning more calories than before. If you pair this with a caloric deficit, you would expect the scale to show a weight loss. However, keep in mind that your body is also working to get stronger and put on more lean muscle. The result may be a steady number on the scale, however you will see a difference over time.

SETTING GOALS Any easy way to reduce your frustration is to focus on the process and not the outcome.  If your goal is to lose 15 pounds, that's great! Let's take this one step further. We  need to break your goal down into process goals.

What do you have to do to get you to that goal? Is it getting in a set amount of exercise per day? Is it to carry a weekly caloric deficit? If you execute out the process goals you set, you will feel much more accomplished! Even better, the results are always sure to follow!
